About Jenni Bean Collagen
At Jenni Bean Skin it's more than simply taking collagen. Looking after your body inside and out promotes not only a healthy body but also a healthy mind. With today's stress and psychological overwhelm, looking after our health and happiness has never been more important! Our mission is to bring out the health, happiness and strength in all women around the world.
Our collagen is grass-fed Type l and lll Hydrolysed Bovine Collagen.
Bovine collagen is a naturally occurring protein present in the connective tissue, bones, cartilage, and hides of cows. The collagen from cows happens to be similar to the collagen we have in our bodies. There are three types of collagen - Type l, Type ll and Type lll - which comprise of about 90% of all collagen in the human body.
Why is type l and type lll so special? Its all about the amino acids!
While there are 18 amino acids in bovine collagen, its the presence of a few key amino acids that lend to the majority of the perks: glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline. These are crucial building blocks of collagen, tendons, and ligaments and have been shown to support health in a number of ways.
1. Slow down hair loss.
2. Stimulate the production of amino acid, in particular Glycine which is the amino acid responsible for building muscle and burning fat.
3. Promote stronger nails and bones.
4. Increase skin's elasticity, minimising wrinkles, giving you a healthy glow!
Side effects of Collagen:
Bovine Collagen is generally recognised as safe (GRAS) designation from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. You should avoid Bovine Collagen if you have an allergy to beef and if you're currently taking any medication, check with your doctor to make sure collagen won't interfere with its effectiveness.
What does Hydrolysed mean?
Hydrolysed collagen is simply collagen that's been broken down into smaller units of protein (or collagen peptides), through a process called hydrolysis. These smaller bits of protein make it so hydrolysed collagen can easily dissolve in hot or cold liquids, which makes it ultra convenient for adding to your morning coffee, smoothie or oatmeal!
These small units of protein are also easy for you to digest and absorb, which means the amino acids can be effective in your body.
